I have some kitchen shades and I noticed Bond had a couple of shade functions available for them that weren't available in the plugin for automation. I messaged alexbk66 (the plugin creator) on the forums with the details/screenshots, and he updated the beta version of the app within a couple of hours with the full functionality I needed. Great customer service on a very versatile plugin that basically "just works" out the box without needing much setup otherwise.
It was all about the WAF. All my fans were controlled by Z-Wave switches, but my wife insisted on on that was a DC motor and only controlled by an RF remote.
The Bond Bridge and AK Bond plug-in allowed me to control the fan through Homeseer. Great pug-in that works as expected, and... it kept the WAF intact!!!
As always, easy to purchase and all the available plugins really expand HomeSeer.
This plugin is working well for me. Initially used it to include a Bond Bridge. This bridge controls a ceiling fan. I was able to include the remote with no problem and I then installed an HS fan control an wrote events to sync the control with the Bond.
I then added a Bond "Smart by Bond" controller to another fan. This took a few tries to get the job done. I needed to add the controller to the Bond Network to get everything to operate reliably. Once that was done everything worked well. Prior to this I had added the Smart by Bond to my default WiFi network and the performance was slow and intermittent. I don't think this is an issue with the plugin so much as it is an issue with the way Bond includes devices. I recommend that a user fully integrate all Bond devices and test their reliability prior to activating the plugin.
Plugin works like a charm and Alex is amazing to work with!!
