Does automation still work if my internet goes down?
Yes. Automations run locally on the hub itself, so your home keeps automating even during an internet or web-service outage. The optional MyHS service is only needed for remote access, not for local automation.

No, core local automation works without any subscription. A free MyHS Lite subscription is only needed for remote access. A paid MyHS Plus subscription would only be needed for Alexa and Google Home integrations.

Most disappointed to find out after purchase that there is no app that works on the latest Android version and had to use a third party app. Event creation is not so simple, but an online search usually provides help. Overall a good replacement for my Vera Plus.

Purchased to replace older same unit that we sold with house. Starting fresh in new house. Works as advertised, no issues. Looking forward to building up a new system. Seems a little faster, wish more memory was available.
Smart Home Hub (HomeSeer HomeTroller Pi G8), Built-In 800 Series Z-Wave. I had the old G3, and every time I tried to enroll a device. I sometimes had to reboot system to enter in devices also, the device had to be real close to enroll. This new device, the G8 enrolled every device all the time and that device can be on the other side of my house (2100 SF). I don't have to reboot it every week or two, it just keeps working. If you purchase this G8, I highly recommend downloading the HSBuddy plug-in (free Plug-in). It adds in Geo fencing push notifications that are so easy it's incredible. I highly recommend it.
Small but powerful. Easy to setup. HS4 preloaded for the same price of just the HS4 software to run on a PC.
Longtime Homeseer user, since the beginning when it ran on a Windows machine. The solid state Hometroller Pi is light years better and far more stable in my opinion. Combined with the near constant updates and an exceptional user community, it's truly amazing what you can do with it.
