From everything I've read, the Blade BLDenon plugin is a worthy product if you have the right AVR. Unfortunately, I ran into one function I could not figure out and it also caused corruption on my Denon AVR-X1700H.
After installing the plugin, my Zone 2 failed after a few day. I reinstalled the backup config file on my AVR-X1700H and Zone 2 started working. A few days later I noticed the same thing happened again. After uninstalling the Blade BLDenon plugin I have not experienced the Zone 2 failure issue.
The part I could not get to work was most likely an issue with the end user (me). I wanted to trigger my woofer on and off depending on the devices. I could see the activity in the logs, but I just could not get the woofer to trigger. Again, I'm guessing issue was me.
Overall I recommend trying the Blade BLDenon plugin if you have a Denon AVR. It may be the case it will not work with all of them, but it's at least worth giving it a try.
Was using the original HS3 BL Marantz plugin but an HS4 update a month or so ago caused it to no longer work (it worked 60% of the time). Last year I had tried a much earlier version of the HS4 BL Denon plugin but it didn't seem to work. This most recent version works very well. Thanks
Working well so far. No problems. Trying to phase out IR control. Just the ticket.
Easy to use, good support!
I have four different Denon receivers in my home - and it works well controlling all of them. I had to rename the device features to make them unique across receivers before they would show up in HSTouch correctly, but after that it works well.
