Bought a bunch of these and had mixed results. One failed, others had issue where they trigger for no reason when their battery get low.
The HS-MS10043, G2 is a simple motion detector compared to many on the market for Z-Wave: all it does is detect motion. I have found that the 4, 5 and 6 function devices are less reliable and don't provide proper functioning for most of the "add-ons". The HS-MS10043, G2 senses motion quickly and reports it. That's exactly what I want it to do. It was easy to include in my HomeSeer network through my ZNet interface. I won't know how long the battery lasts for a few months (I hope, anyway).
I bought one. It worked well. I bought a second. Same thing. Then I bought a third. It also worked well.
They work well, are inconspicuous, batteries last something more than six months, and they have the best mounting system I’ve encountered. Good stuff.
Very easy to integrate into the Universal Devices ISY994iZW and work well.
When I first powered up the sensor and joined it to the Z-wave network, it functioned and turned on the light I programmed it to the first time. But.. It will not respond to new motion when I move across the sensor but in the middle of the night, the light turns on even if there is no motion.
Other sensors like the HS-FLS100 work as expected all the time.
