MS100 G8 is a compact, easy to install Z-Wave Plus smart motion sensor that's designed to report to your smart home hub when motion is sensed or when motion has not been sensed for a period of time. Use to track occupancy or monitor for security.

Operation
Install using the supplied hardware and pair with your smart home software or hub. MS100 G8 may be used to trigger events ("automations") when motion is sensed. Use this turn on lights, send notifications, sound alarms or change the occupancy status of your home. This motion sensor will send Z-Wave commands when (a) motion is sensed and (b) when motion has not been sensed for a (user-adjustable) period of time.

I purchased the MS100 G8 Z-Wave Plus Long Range Motion Sensor to replace a failed HSM200 Sensor. Even though I like the HSM200 sensor I decided not to purchase any more of them due to my historic issues with them (I still have three). I also have a PS100 Z-Wave Presence Sensor which aside from one mechanical issue has been a very good device. I would have replaced the HSM200 with a PS100 but they are not available.
I have or had a combined total of seven Zooz ZSE29, ZSE18 and ZSE40 sensors. All of them are/were powered by cable instead of the battery. In the past couple of years one-half of them have failed.
I decided to purchase the MS100 from HomeSeer due to my satisfaction with HomeSeer's quality, tech support and guaranteed compatibility with my HS4 hub. I have the MS100 sensor powered by a cable as the second farthest device from my hub. The inclusion was simple and so far has performed flawlessly.
I am passively in the market for two more motion sensors. I have not yet decided if I will purchase more MS100 devices. If the PS100 becomes available that is also a possible future purchase but by the time it becomes available it might already have a replacement.
Setup is simple. Small size. I like the magnetic ball swivel. The sensor can be placed in any position easily.
